Yesterday’s solo crash on a steep stretch of Redwood Road in the Oakland Hills left a 41-year-old driver dead after his car left the roadway and hit a light pole, according to Oakland police.
The man, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 4100 block of Redwood Road. Police shut down the immediate area so investigators could reconstruct what happened.
