A malfunctioning elevator in a century-old San Francisco apartment dropped three stories Monday morning while an adult was trapped inside, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
The free-fall injured the person riding in the elevator, who was taken to the hospital with “moderate to severe injuries,” the department said.
