(KRON) — A South San Francisco elementary school was placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after receiving an anonymous threat of violence, according to police. Responding authorities determined that the threat was not credible.
Spruce Elementary School, located at 501 Spruce Ave., received the anonymous threat around 2 p.m. via phone call, the South San Francisco Police Department said. School personnel initiated lockdown protocol and contacted law enforcement.
“Police were on scene within minutes,” wrote SSFPD, “and were able to confirm there was no active or credible threat.”
