Journey is officially penciling Denver into its long goodbye. The rock veterans have added a Mile High stop to their “Final Frontier” farewell tour, landing at Ball Arena on Nov. 22. The expanded fall leg is set to open Sept. 12 in Los Angeles and culminate with a San Francisco homecoming later that month, with the Denver date arriving as part of the freshly announced run. The news dropped this week alongside a wave of presale and public on-sale details.
According to 9NEWS, the new fall shows include the Nov. 22 Denver stop at Ball Arena and are being marketed as part of the farewell stretch. The outlet noted that the additional dates arrived as the band touted crowd reactions on the current leg, with the response apparently strong enough to justify one more spin through major arenas.
Final Frontier expansion and what the band said
Presented by AEG, the fall extension tacks on 40 shows and begins Sept. 12 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles before wrapping Nov. 28 at Chase Center in San Francisco, according to The Music Universe. The outlet quotes guitarist Neal Schon reflecting on the crowds so far: “The energy has been incredible every night. Seeing these crowds sing these songs with us after all these years has been powerful.”
The Music Universe also lists the touring lineup for the Final Frontier run as Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Arnel Pineda, Deen Castronovo, Jason Derlatka, and Todd Jensen.
