An elderly Marion County homeowner has filed a lawsuit against a home builder, a garage door manufacturer, and an installation company after a high-tension garage spring allegedly snapped and severely injured his hand.
John A. Goulet filed the complaint in the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County on May 11, against Armadillo, Inc. (doing business as Nicks Superior Garage Door Service), Bakan Homes LLC, and C.H.I. Overhead Doors, LLC.
According to the complaint, Bakan Homes built the residence located along SW 35th Court Road in Ocala, and Nicks Superior Garage Door Service installed the garage system, manufactured by C.H.I., in November 2022…
