Improper handling of food caught an inspector’s eye at a restaurant in The Villages.

The inspector paid a visit Thursday to Fiesta Grande Mexican Grill at Brownwood and spotted a male employee in the kitchen using his bare hands to rearrange cooked beef on a plate, according to an inspection report on file with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. A manager addressed the situation, which was considered a high-priority violation.

There were two other high-priority violations: The inspector found raw chicken stored over raw beef, and cheese left at 73 degrees on top of an oven rather than at the required 41 degrees…
