We all know how congested the streets are in Ocala/Marion County. So often, I see and hear emergency vehicles trying to get around traffic stopped at traffic signals. There’s nowhere for people to move to get out of the way.
I suggest that traffic signals all turn to red when police, firefighters and ambulances are deployed.
This would make it easier for them to proceed in the opposite direction lanes with all traffic stopped so as to get around the traffic going in the same direction, as well as avoiding the intersection cross traffic…
