An improvement plat for a 117-home subdivision where 41 live oak trees will be removed was recommended for approval Tuesday at a meeting of the Wildwood Planning and Zoning Board.
The Northern Pines Subdivision is south of County Road 222 about one-third mile west of U.S. 301 near the Peppertree Apartments.
Special Magistrate Lindsay C.T. Holt recommended approval of the plat pending resolution of outstanding issues including surety for a performance bond. The City Commission likely will consider the plat later this month.
A six-inch sewer main extending 2,690 feet along the north side of CR 222 will be installed to connect the development to city utilities…
