Wildwood’s $150-million wastewater treatment plant aimed at keeping pace with growth

Wildwood’s $150-million wastewater treatment plant is taking shape on the city’s west side.

Deputy utilities director Jason Martin presented a slide show on plant construction progress Monday to city commissioners.

What he described as “a massive amount of conduit and pipe” has been installed at the site. Two circulating pools are nearing completion and a temporary DAVCO wastewater processing facility will become operational later this summer.

The temporary facility will boost Wildwood’s processing capability by a million gallons until plant construction is completed in 2027…
