Marion County Search and Rescue is giving new life to a vacant fire station in Summerfield, establishing a permanent home base to house its specialized equipment and streamline local emergency response operations.
The all-volunteer team recently leased the former Pedro Volunteer Fire Station #23, located at 16500 S. Highway 475, near the roadway’s intersection with County Road 42.
