Overgrown greenery at the home of an unresponsive Villager was the subject of a deed compliance hearing.
Staff received a complaint on May 5 regarding overgrown bushes and vines covering the windows of a home on Southeast Arlington Loop in the Village of Chatham, according to testimony presented by Community Standards at the hearing this past week at the Brownwood District Office.
Staff verified the violations but were unable to establish contact with the homeowner, James Shepard. The telephone number on file is no longer in service, and staff could not reach any of his listed emergency contacts. A recent inspection determined the property remained out of compliance…
