A former resident at a local assisted living facility has filed a lawsuit alleging she suffered severe neglect that allowed pressure sores to deteriorate into Stage IV ulcers.
Marie Shaw filed the complaint against WW Senior Housing RE, LLC, doing business as HearthStone Wildwood, in the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court in Sumter County on June 22.
According to the lawsuit, Shaw was admitted to the assisted living facility, located at 10422 Regatta Boulevard in Oxford, in October 2024 without any pre-existing pressure wounds…
