I have been a client of Citizens First Bank for eight years and never had a major or minor issue with the bank or customer service that could not be addressed in a timely manner.
Now with the “seamless transition” on July 13 to Seacoast Bank, I have a host of problems and issues that never should have happened according to the 52-page booklet sent to clients prior to the switch. Additionally, I have a concern with the absent customer service staff who should be capable of resolving relatively minor matters.
Seacoast is fully at fault for not being prepared to deal with problems they stated would not be a problem. One bank rep told me to come into the branch with my computer so that they could show me how to set up my bill pay. Really. I had my bill pay set up just fine until Seacoast changed it. This is not an issue of “just be patient because the transition was a major undertaking and things will work out soon.” Seacoast should have expected the unexpected as any professional and successful corporate entity does when mergers or buyouts occur…
