Another home on same street in The Villages crosses million-dollar sales mark, doubles original purchase price

Another home on the same street within the Village of Bridgeport at Laurel Valley has crossed the million-dollar milestone this year, selling for $1.2 million and more than doubling its original purchase price from 2011.

David R. and Ellen E. Rogers sold the property located at 1472 Brier Creek Circle to Brett J. Mayer and Nelly B. Mayer, as co-trustees of the B and N Mayer Family Trust, for $1,200,000 on June 26, according to a warranty deed filed with the Sumter County Clerk of Courts.

Constructed in 2011, the 3,158-square-foot single-family home features four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It sits on a 0.41-acre lot within Village Community Development District 8.

Sumter County property records show that David and Ellen Rogers originally purchased the home new in October 2011 for $577,700.

The $1.2 million transaction represents an increase of $622,300 over the Rogers’ original purchase price…
