Marion County commissioners will consider an $82,810 agreement with festival organizers of Rock The Country to provide dozens of emergency medical and fire personnel for the festival during its return to Ocala later this month.
The request, submitted by Marion County Fire Rescue Chief James Banta, will be presented to the Marion County Board of County Commissioners during its upcoming meeting on Tuesday, August 18.
Under the proposed contract, Marion County Fire Rescue would maintain ambulance and fire suppression services at Rock the Country 2026, which takes place at the Florida Horse Park (11008 S. Highway 475, Ocala) on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29.
