Marion Theatre celebrates 85 years of film and entertainment tonight in Ocala

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Celebrate the historic legacy of the Marion Theatre as they gather for their 85th anniversary. They will be celebrating their milestone with a film screening on Thursday, Sept. 10 beginning at 6 p.m. at 50 S. Magnolia Ave., Ocala.

The Marion Theatre has brought new and nostalgic films alike to the community at low costs. Now, they’ll be honoring their legacy with a showing of the very first film they ever screened back in 1941, “Aloma of the South Seas.” Admission to this screening is pay-what-you-want for everyone to contribute as much as they can for the theatre. Doors will be opening at 5 p.m. to give guests a chance to grab specialty cocktails and mingle with fellow local cinephiles.
