A three-year-old home in The Villages has reverted to the bank after the death of the property’s owner.
Details about the troubled property at 7564 Alysha Ave. in the Village of Dabney came to light during a public hearing earlier this week at the Brownwood District Office. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home was built in 2023 and purchased in 2024 for $378,800 by Richard Santos III. He is now deceased, according to testimony at the hearing from Community Standards.
Court records reveal a foreclosure lawsuit was filed against Santos and his unknown heirs in Lake County in February. The mortgage is tied to Citizens First Bank, which was acquired by Seacoast Bank earlier this year. According to the complaint, the loan went into default after the October 2025 payment was missed.
