A law enforcement investigation led to an armed standoff and ultimately an arrest in Central Florida. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a convicted felon following the investigation that led to an armed standoff at a Plant City residence, which is near Tampa.
That investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a CyberTipline report regarding the upload of multiple video files containing CSAM involving juvenile victims. On September 15th, HCSO’s Internet Predator Unit, with assistance from the HCSO SWAT Team, responded to a residence in the 3100 block of Juanita Drive to serve a search warrant.
According to local law enforcement, as SWAT approached the residence, 43-year-old David Urbina allowed family members to exit the home before barricading himself inside.
