Woman sues Ocala hospital after blood pressure meds lead to gangrene, amputations

In a lawsuit filed against an Ocala hospital, a 71-year-old woman alleges that healthcare providers failed to properly monitor and adjust her blood pressure medications, causing severe tissue death and the eventual amputation of multiple fingers and toes.

The complaint was filed by attorneys representing Lark Melanie Christilles against the parent operator of HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital in the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court for Marion County on Sept. 15.
