A Central Florida traffic stop led to the capture of a wanted suspect.
The Lake Wales man who had been on the run since 2023 was arrested and brought to the Polk County jail following a traffic stop for broken tail lights, according to local law enforcement.
A Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy recently conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford Ranger in the area of Rifle Range Road and State Road 60, south of Wahneta. The driver was identified as 42-year-old Thomas Kenneth James, of Lake Wales, and he immediately admitted to the deputy that his license was suspended.
