An Ocala native and West Port High School graduate is currently serving aboard one of the nation’s premier aircraft carriers, helping operations for the United States Navy.
Seaman Jayden Olivera serves as a quartermaster aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, which is a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier that operates out of San Diego, California.
Olivera graduated from West Port High School in 2025. She enlisted in the Navy one year ago, following a personal call to honor her family’s legacy.
