In the latest edition of the Marion Rundown, the Marion County community has witnessed a series of significant law enforcement actions, ranging from burglary investigations to drug-related arrests.
The week began with Deputies Rosaci and J. Gonzalez responding to a reported residential burglary on the 16000 block of SW 58th Lane. Returning after months away, the homeowners were shocked to find their home’s door wide open and the interior in disarray. To their dismay, two vehicles and a well pump were discovered missing from the property. The investigation into this unsettling break-in remains ongoing.
In a separate incident, Corporal Coleman conducted a routine traffic stop on a speeding Land Rover, leading to an unexpected arrest. The driver, Raechel Wood, was found to be operating the vehicle without a Florida Driver’s License. Further investigation revealed a bag of Fentanyl in her purse and an outstanding warrant for child abuse from another county. Wood was promptly taken into custody.
