Marion County firefighters battled a large brush fire on Thursday that threatened homes on SW 139th Lane Road in Marion Oaks. Shortly before 12 p.m., multiple Marion County Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the 8300 block of SW 139th Lane Road. A resident in the area had called 911 to report that a brush fire was in her yard, encroaching on her residence, according to MCFR.
