65-year-old Florida woman arrested for assaulting young female students walking home from school

Authorities have stated that they have arrested a Florida woman who allegedly confronted and shoved three students from Marion County as they were making their way home from school because, according to her, one of them littered.

According to media reports, Sheriff Deputies arrested Vera Casselman, a 65-year-old woman, on Monday and charged her with three counts of misdemeanor battery. The incident took place on Monday afternoon in Belleview, as per an arrest affidavit from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

The affidavit also stated that a woman contacted deputies to report the attack by Vera on her daughter and niece while on their way back from school.

According to reports, the woman gave authorities three videos that show how Vera allegedly walked to the girls, saying that the “girl in the pink shirt” littered. She then walked between two of the girls and appeared to “intentionally” bump into them.

The videos are from witnesses and victims.

Furthermore, the affidavit stated that Vera approached one girl “within inches” of her face after she refused to back up when she was asked to. She also put her forearm into the chest of one of the girls, blocked the path of another, and bumped one of the girls arms with her chest, despite many efforts to separate her.
