The Lakeland Fire Department’s Assistant Fire Chief was honored earlier this month for saving a man from a burning vehicle on Interstate 75 in Marion County. On January 16, 2024, Assistant Fire Chief Michael Williams was presented with the City of Lakeland Heroism Award during the city’s commission meeting.
