On Friday, the SunRail commuter rail system expanded its network to span 61 miles and connect four Central Florida counties, Osceola, Orange, Seminole, and Volusia, through 17 strategically located stations. This long-envisioned goal was realized with the grand opening of the DeLand SunRail Station in Volusia County, marking the northernmost stop on the system. The new station not only fulfills a key objective of SunRail’s expansion but should now enhance connectivity and accessibility for residents and commuters throughout the region.
