Two men charged in connection with city of Dunnellon lawn equipment theft

Two men were arrested Thursday by Dunnellon Police Department officials in connection with lawn equipment stolen from a city compound.

Ruben Santiago, 45, and Tommy Dominguez, 28, were taken into custody at a residence located in the 300 block of Northeast 15th Court by Dunnellon police, with assistance from Ocala Police Department officers. The men are each charged with grand theft and commercial burglary.

Records show Dominguez doesn’t have a criminal record. Santiago has been to prison twice for grand theft and drug possession. He has been released since 2009.
