Ocala residents may or may not be happy to know that a Winn Dixie in their city appears to be on track to become an Aldi. By now, many Floridians are waiting to find out if their local Winn Dixie will become an Aldi. Some want an Aldi. And others are clinging tightly to their local Winn Dixies.

However, Aldi’s purchase of 400 Winn Dixie stores last year means that some Floridians won’t have a choice about what happens to their Winn Dixie, as some will be converted. And I’ve written about confirmations of Winn Dixie stores in Panama City, Panama City Beach, Lakeland, Deltona, Pensacola, and Avon Park converting. And now, it appears that Ocala is getting the same treatment.
