Floridians who want to pop out and buy multiple things quickly have plenty of options. Supercenters are a popular choice because they offer groceries, clothing, house goods, health items, tools, sporting goods, and a variety of other items under one roof. In this category, Target and Walmart are popular choices. And one Florida city – the Villages – is getting a new large Walmart that is being called “the store of the future.”
New Walmart Prototypes In Florida: The new Villages Walmart (which I will discuss below) is not the only “store of the future in Florida. The Upcoming Oversized Walmart Supercenter In The Villages: Walmart has reportedly filed plans to build a 200,000-square-foot store at the intersection of State Road 44 and Morse Boulevard. Gulf Live has called the store “massive.”
The store will be a “store of the future” prototype with larger produce sections, wider aisles, an advanced checkout design, a larger pharmacy, technology to enhance customer convenience, and at least twenty gasoline pumps.
