Central Florida is in store for a cloudy day with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s, and only low rain chances mostly along the coast, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.
“Cloud coverage remains high this morning across east central Florida thanks to a stratus deck that has set up across the area,” the NWS forecast said. “In some spots, the stratus has sunk closer to the ground, resulting in fog and visibility reductions down to a mile or less.”
The NWS warns of low visibility in these areas that should improve after sunrise.
“Be sure to slow down, use only low beam headlights, and leave plenty of following distance between vehicles,” the NWS stated.
Rain chances are at 30-40% on the coast with 20-30% inland with a chance showers could make it as far as into the Orlando metro area by the evening.
“Despite the higher cloud coverage, temperatures are still forecast to warm into the mid 70s to low 80s across east central Florida, which is approximately 5 to 10 degrees above normal for this time of year,” the NWS stated. “Lows will also remain approximately 10 degrees above normal, with temperatures remaining in the 60s.”
