Homeless woman spotted near tent attempts to flee on bicycle to avoid arrest

A homeless woman was the second to be arrested at a Leesburg property after fleeing on a bicycle from law enforcement.

An officer conducted a secure check at the property located at 1400 CR 25A around 9 a.m. March 1, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. This check was in reference to a trespass letter on file, which prompted a request for patrols to remove any unauthorized people from the property.

During the check, the officer spotted 44-year-old Jessica Lynn Kadelsik seated near a tent. While he and other officers were handling a separate trespasser, 56-year-old Dalton Hill, Kadelsik left the scene by bicycle, the report said.

A records check through dispatch revealed Kadelsik had been previously trespassed from the property on Aug. 14, 2024. At the time of the trespass warning, she signed an acknowledgement form indicating she was aware of the warning and not to return to the property, the report said…
