We camped at Recreation Plantation for a month before we moved into our house here in The Villages in 2014. We were told by the campers that if we had a golf cart, we could just go across the street by The Villages Woodshop on Rolling Acres Road and through the gate to get into The Villages and have access to the amenities and all the golf cart paths restaurant, etc. You could also do it by bike. Who really questions someone in The Villages with a golf cart? I know for a fact they’re still doing it because I’ve seen them coming across the street to get access to the gate into The Villages by the woodshop and driving range when going there.
