A 25-year-old Ocala man, who was caught with over 25 grams of fentanyl in his possession after leading deputies on a late-night pursuit in Citrus County in 2023, will spend the next two and a half decades behind bars.
Last week, on April 9, William Thomas Lindo II was found guilty on multiple charges, including trafficking in fentanyl, burglary of an occupied conveyance, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, theft of a motor vehicle, and resisting a law enforcement officer without violence.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred in Citrus County on October 6, 2023. That night, a Citrus County Sheriff’s Office deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Highway 486 and Highway 491 in Citrus County.
