A suspect arrested after fleeing a construction site in The Villages has been sentenced.
Shannon Scott Coleman, 39, of Wildwood, has been placed on probation for six months and was ordered to perform 40 hours of community service after pleading no contest this past week in Sumter County Court to three counts of loitering.
Coleman was driving an older white pickup at about 3:30 a.m. Feb. 13 on Morse Boulevard when an officer noticed several pieces of plywood loaded in the bed of the truck, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The officer initiated a traffic stop in the Village of Bradford.
