Couple completes anger management class after intoxicated brawl

A husband and wife have completed anger management courses as the result of an intoxicated brawl earlier this year at their home in The Villages.

Alan Lichnerowicz, 70, and Ann Marie Lichnerowicz, 58, completed the anger management courses as part of a contract that will allow then to avoid prosecution on battery charges.

The couple had been arguing in the wee hours Feb. 6 when she concluded he was too intoxicated to drive to their home in the Village of Santo Domingo, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. She ended up driving home.

When the couple from Indiana got to their home, they continued arguing and Ann took Alan’s cell phone. Alan tackled her to the ground and tried to reach under her to reclaim his cell phone. She kicked him, he got off of her and she ran into a bedroom and locked a door. He used a screwdriver to open the door and saw that his wife was on the phone with 911…
