A Leesburg woman was arrested for disorderly intoxication after fighting the manager of Gator Joe’s Beach Bar & Grill and running in the road.
A deputy was dispatched to Gator Joe’s Beach Bar & Grill, located at 12431 SE 135th Ave., Ocklawaha, regarding a disturbance on Friday evening, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, contact was made with 24-year-old Justice Johnaya Harvey.
Harvey showed multiple signs of alcoholic intoxication, including the odor of alcohol coming from her breath as she spoke, slurred speech and watery bloodshot eyes. She ultimately admitted to drinking alcohol and being intoxicated. Investigation revealed she was told she would not be served any more, and she began to yell and cause a public disturbance. She was then escorted out of the restaurant by staff members, the report said.
The manager on duty stated Harvey continued to yell as she was being escorted away. When the manager approached Harvey, she was able to get around other staff members. The manager and Harvey proceeded to mutually engage in a physical fight, the report said…
