Leesburg Man Receives 12-Year Sentence For Burning Victim’s Hand In Aggravated Battery

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Jettzel Jomar Felix-Marcano, 36, of Leesburg, was sentenced to 12 years in the Florida Department of Corrections last week after being found guilty on all charges stemming from a 2022 arrest.

The conviction, handed down in a Lake County courtroom, included Aggravated Battery with Great Bodily Harm, Battery, Possession with the Intent to Sell, Manufacture or Deliver Cannabis, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

The case originated on May 18, 2022, when Deputy Sullivan of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from the Leesburg Police Department. The victim in the case had sought help at the LPD lobby, reporting continuous battery by Felix-Marcano within LCSO jurisdiction…
