Ocala City Council to vote on $2 million airport upgrade plans

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Ocala city officials are meeting to discuss potential upgrades to the Ocala International Airport.

According to the airport director, these upgrades will not impact travel but will require some time to complete. Director Matt Grow said that design and construction improvements are scheduled to take place over the next two years.

The airport has received five grants from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to fund these enhancements. Additionally, the airport will contribute matching funds, bringing the total project cost to nearly $2 million…
