A Villager has successfully lobbied for a change at her postal station.
The Amenity Authority Committee has agreed to spend $10,800 for an additional handicapped access ramp at the Postal Station in the Village of Santo Domingo.
Resident Kennie Turpening recently went before the AAC asking for the additional ramp on behalf of fellow residents.
Turpening had described the extra high curb at the rear of the postal station. She said the tall curb makes it tougher for older folks to step up onto the concrete to get to their mailbox. She noted there are 480 postal boxes on the front side of the postal station and 840 postal boxes on back side…
