Woman on bicycle nabbed with syringes and methamphetamine

A woman riding a bicycle at night without proper lighting was nabbed with syringes and methamphetamine.

Lynn Bedgood Jain, 45, of Fruitland Park, was riding the bicycle at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday traveling north on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 when an officer noticed her bicycle did not have a light required for riding at night, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

A K-9 officer initiated a traffic stop and his dog alerted on the bicycle, zeroing in on a camouflage bag and a small clutch purse. The dog’s alert led to the discovery of syringes, a broken glass pipe, a cut straw and two crystal rocks that weighed approximately .8 grams. The crystal rocks tested positive for methamphetamine…
