A Leesburg woman was arrested for battery after allegedly kicking her mother’s private area for threatening to call police if she was too loud.
An officer responded to a battery, later found to involve 40-year-old Denise Lewis, at an undisclosed Leesburg residence at 10:15 p.m. Sunday, May 25, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officer met with the female victim in the driveway. She advised that she went upstairs to Lewis’ bedroom because she was too loud and yelling. She told her that she needed to stop yelling and be quieter, or she was going to call law enforcement, the report said.
Lewis did not like that the victim was going to call law enforcement, so she approached the victim in the doorway and kicked her in the private area. The victim then went downstairs, walked outside into the driveway to call law enforcement and awaited their arrival.
