Ocala grandfather drowns in Maine lake during visit to summer home

A 74-year-old Ocala man who took summer vacations to a lake in Maine with his family for over four decades drowned last week after attempting to swim into the lake to retrieve a boat that had drifted away.

Richard Eason passed away on May 30, while visiting Damariscotta Lake in Nobleboro, Maine.
