Woman arrested in altercation claims she was pushed past her breaking point

A Leesburg woman was arrested for battery after allegedly trying to choke her former lover of 18 years.

An officer responded to a battery at an undisclosed Leesburg residence around 2:35 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, he met the male victim who had fresh blood and a scratch on his neck and chest area and a drop of blood on the front of his shorts. He stated he was struck by 36-year-old Tasha Joe Perry.

The victim explained Perry arrived on scene and parked her vehicle in such a way that kept him from leaving. She then put her hands around his neck to choke him, but it did not stop him from breathing. He stated multiple times that he feared for his safety, the report said.

The victim also advised that Perry was his ex-girlfriend, and they dated for at least 18 years. She lived with him and his son as a family, the report said…
