A man suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol is facing additional felony charges after he allegedly swallowed cocaine while he was detained in the back of a Marion County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle.
On Saturday, June 14, an MCSO corporal was in the 20000 block of E Pennsylvania Avenue in Dunnellon when a vehicle was observed speeding on the roadway. The corporal used a radar, which allegedly showed that the vehicle was traveling approximately 23 miles per hour over the posted speed limit, according to the arrest report.
