Man Arrested for Murder following Fatal Central Florida Shooting

A man was recently arrested and charged with second-degree murder following the fatal shooting in Central Florida.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect and victim began arguing in the breezeway of an apartment building on the 700 block of Providence Trace Circle in Brandon, near Tampa. During the argument, the suspect shot the victim and fled the scene.

The victim, 25-year-old Darien Lamont Henry, was later transported to Brandon Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives learned a verbal altercation occurred between Henry and the suspect. During the argument, the suspect retrieved a firearm and shot Henry in the upper body…
