A suspect in a Walmart shoplifting case was identified by the veterans’ cap he had been wearing on his head.
Richard James Ogilvie, 77, who lives in Highpoint at Stonecrest in Summerfield, was at the store at Buffalo Ridge Plaza at about 1 p.m. Friday when he left the store without attempting to pay for multiple items, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He got into a red Toyota Rav4 and drove away.
Store personnel indicated the shoplifting suspect had been wearing a veterans cap and a blue shirt.
A deputy initiated a traffic stop about a quarter-mile from the store. Ogilvie met the description of the suspected shoplifting, including the veterans cap and blue shirt…
