Two trespassing suspects were arrested after they were found at a restricted construction site near The Villages.
The two Cuban-born men – 27-year-old Emmanuel Artigas Corvea and 33-year-old Jorge Luis Varona Quinones – were spotted shortly before midnight Wednesday at a construction site at County Road 25 and Marion County Road near the back end of the Historic Side of The Villages, according to arrest reports from the Lady Lake Police Department. They were in a vehicle and attempted to drive away when a police officer approached their vehicle and activated the lights of his squad car.
The two men were unable to explain what they were doing at the construction site and “unable to answer simple questions,” the report said…
