Ocala woman arrested for intentionally hitting man with car at gas station

A 20-year-old Ocala woman has been charged with aggravated battery charge after the car she was driving allegedly struck a man twice at a local gas station.

On Wednesday, June 18, Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the BP gas station located at 13540 S Highway 475 in Summerfield in reference to a man being hit by a vehicle. A witness told law enforcement that the vehicle struck the victim twice before leaving the area, adding that the incident “appeared intentional,” according to the arrest report.

The witness advised that the victim was walking towards a “grass area” located near the gas station when a car “went backwards” and struck the victim. After the initial collision, the vehicle “came back around to the victim,” and its front section proceeded to strike the victim…
