Wife back home and on probation after second arrest for attacking husband

A Harbor Hills woman is back home and on probation after attacking her husband earlier this year.

Gulden Weitekamp, 45, of the upscale gated community in Lady Lake, pleaded no contest this past week in Sumter County Court to a charge of domestic battery. She has been placed on probation for one year.

She was arrested in April after allegedly attacking her husband at the home of a friend in the Village of St. Catherine. Her husband had fled their home in Harbor Hills in a Cadillac, which bears the vanity license plate, “GULDEN,” according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. He told law enforcement that he fled their home after Weitekamp head butted him in the face. After he drove away in the Cadillac, Weitekamp, who reportedly had been drinking, Ubered over to the Village of St. Catherine and demanded the keys to the Cadillac. The native of Turkey was later apprehended in the Cadillac in the Village of Bradford.

Her husband, who had a visible knot on his forehead, told police that he did not want to press charges…
