I’ve lived in Ocala for over 50 years and have seen its overdevelopment

I have been an Ocala resident for over 50 years and have watched our local leaders rubber stamping so many projects that are beneficial only to themselves and the companies they are in line with.

A local councilman is running unopposed yet has 36,000 in his campaign fund. He is a CEO of a local construction company. His donors have interest in construction, restaurants, hotels, real-estate, engineering, etc. This is just little bitty Ocala. It’s been going on all over this country. It’s nothing new. Why would they be against growth?

Right now, our housing inventory is overstocked with more subdivisions and apartments coming out of the ground with complete disregard to our infrastructure…
